As a joint event with the The Japanese Association for South Asian Studies (JASAS)'s Third Social Collaboration Event, the Keio University Science Fiction Research and Development Center (SFRDC) is hosting the "Japan-India Science Fiction Exchange Workshop" in collaboration. In cooperation with the Indian Association for Science Fiction Studies (IASFS), this workshop will facilitate dialogue on science fiction cultures and literatures of Japan and India.

**Program**
*Panel 1 (First Half): "The 'Peak City' and Contemporary Japanese-Indian Science Fiction"*
This panel, sparked by the publication of Ravan Jayalakshmi Narayan’s *Peak City*, features:
- An introduction to the publishing background by Wataru Ishigame (Tokyo Sogensha),
- An interview with the author,
- An explanation of contemporary Indian English science fiction literature by Associate Professor Sami Ahmed Khan (Jawaharlal Nehru University), and
- A comparative analysis of dystopian expressions in modern Japanese SF by Yutaka Ebihara (science fiction critic).
*Panel 2 (Second Half): "The Multifaceted Aspects of Science Fiction: Dialogue between Japan and India"*
Taiyo Fujii, a representative Japanese SF author, will engage in dialogue with Samit Basu, an eminent Indian SF writer, moderated by Hirotaka Osawa (Keio University/SFRDC, Executive Director of the Japan SF Writers’ Club).

プログラム
前半のパネル1「『頂点都市』と日印の現代SF」では、ラヴァンヤ・ラクシュミナラヤン著『頂点都市』の邦訳出版を契機に、石亀航氏（東京創元社）による出版背景の紹介、著者インタビュー、サミ・アフマド・カーン氏（ジャワハルラル・ネルー大学）による現代インドSF英語文学の解説、海老原豊氏（SF評論家）による現代日本SFのディストピア表現との対比を行います。
後半のパネル2「サイエンス・フィクションの諸側面―日印の対話」では、インドを代表するSF作家サミト・バス氏と日本を代表するSF作家藤井大洋氏が対談し、大澤博隆（慶應義塾大学／SFRDC、日本SF作家クラブ理事）がモデレーターを務めます。
