With the surge in generative AI, the creative landscape has transformed rapidly. Engaging with stories through creation fosters emotional investment in fictional events and characters. Storytelling is an act where people collectively resonate emotionally with a shared imaginary world, holding significant importance for human collective behavior. Thus, creative expression and storytelling are deeply rooted in personal growth and societal maturity.

This session will discuss the significance of creativity in education, considering the impact of artificial intelligence technologies entering a new phase, from an educational perspective. We will explore this topic through lectures by cognitive scientists and knowledge scientists, as well as panel discussions involving generative AI researchers and authors.

生成 AIのブームに伴い、創作を巡る環境が急速に変化しています。創作行為によって得られる物語の鑑賞は、架空の出来事や人物に対する感情移入を促します。物語創作は人々が共通の架空の対象へ共同で心を動かす行為であり、人間が集団行動を行う上でも重要な意味を持ちます。このように、創作行為や物語は、個人の成長や社会の成熟に深く根差しています。
本企画セッションでは、「創作」の教育における重要性を、新たなフェーズに入った人工知能技術の影響を踏まえつつ、教育の観点から議論します。認知科学者および知識科学者の講演と、生成AI研究者と作家とのパネルトークにより、多面的に論じます。
